As part of my recent website redevelopment, I added a suite of slashpages (indexed at /slashes)1.
/pfp is a new one, and I've got mine here! I'm not sure this particular standard will ever reach the status of being truly well-known or
widely-used, but I like it as a concept. /pfp is an archive of the "profile pictures" you've used over the years, chronologically-arranged.
As such, it acts as sort of a time capsule and sort of a timeline of how I've "presented" myself online over the decades.
I think it's interesting that I started with photos, switched to a comic representation, returned to photos... and now I've drifted back to a (better-drawn) comic representation again. I don't have a full explanation for that, just ideas2... it's something that just "felt right" at each point I guess.
Footnotes
1 The idea of slashpages that they're well-known URLs on personal websites that paint a picture of who the site owner is and what they're about. A popular one that I don't yet have
is /now: a place to talk about "what you're up to right now". (I've got plenty of others though.)
2 Ideas like: gosh, I'm not as pretty as I used to be, am I? Maybe if I used a cartoon version of myself I could not-draw the age lines. ๐คญ
