Postcards From The Internet!

Since November 2025, I’ve solicited visitors to my blog to contact me not only by leaving comments or emailing me but by sending me physical mail (via a PO Box), with a particular preference for postcards.

This page serves as a gallery of postcards I’ve received. Any addresses that are not PO Boxes have been removed.

    Kia ora Dan!
I was excited to see that you have a PO box alt address. Hopefully this actually reaches you unlike the last post that I sent.
I think I said in a comment that I read your blog fairly regularly. I probably check in every few weeks and have done since Aber days. It makes me feel less homesick and I feel connected to you guys even though I'm sure a voyeur.
    So thankyou for blogging!
    Kererū -> Chonky pidgeon!
Zealandia <-This is where I volunteer most weekends. I am a proper bird person now. In my 40th year I have committed to this persona. I am a wildlife spotter on night tours (with kiwi pukupuku being the top goal.) I also help with both hihi and kākā feeding. I hope that one day you will visit NZ and Wellington. I'm sure you'd love Zealandia, they also do great vegetable soups 🙂
Lots of love from the Southern hemisphere

    Hello fellow melonhead!
Sorry this took ages, lol I got sort of lost in the sauce* (*life)
I decided to try a simple postcard at first, cause I wasn't sure how your PO box worked, lol.
This postcard is made from the back of an empty macaroni-box from my roommate/sister. I needed something sturdy lol.
Anyway, have a great day! The sun is shining in my town in Norway today. Might go for a walk later.
    Regards, grubbyfox @ melonland forums

    Hi Dan,
Saw something similar so I thought I'd paint paint you a picture of a cold giraffe.
Just a reminder to enjoy the simple things!
    Love ya!

I enjoy your blog. I enjoy books. I enjoy using the mails. I love the idea of using proper mail to internet aquaintances. I acquired this postcard last year in San Francisco. I hope you enjoy it. Best.

Returning a comment you left on my personal site, from my days of Twitch streaming I used to send out parcels to competition winners with a postcard. Anyway, here you go!

    Hi Dan,
Just wanted to say thank you for dropping me a note about my RSS feed! I've been wondering why it was so unreliable for months - a rare treat to have somebody hand me the solution! Thanks also for the kind words about my website. :)
    Best, Florence (bodypoetic)

A test postcard I sent to myself, via my PO Box, to see that it would work as I'd hoped.
