Chuck Wagon

Apparently, zero of the imagineers building this Disneyland Paris cafe conceived that “Chuck Wagon” sounds like what a cowboy would call a wheeled vomit trough. 😂

Have fun there. I look forward to my feedreader alerting me that you’ve posted when you return.

I’m confident the use of ‘chuck’ to mean food (eg “chuck steak”) well predates the sense of vomiting (“Australianism from the mid 20th century” according to OED). The cowboy chuck wagon was invented in 1866.

I can’t vouch for the chance of food poisoning from either mobile kitchen or Disneyland restaurants, though. Good luck!

Yeah, you’re right: I ended up looking it up after my return! Thanks for sharing in the open, though (where I failed to!).
