I suspect that SummersSquad‘s assertion that this should be archived is incorrect. The area around the old swingbridge has been fenced off for some time (it was when I logged the cache, last year) but this does not affect the ability to find the cache. The cache description already makes very clear that the cache is not on the swing bridge.

I’m reasonably confident that the GZ cannot be contained within the fenced-off area, as this would also prohibit either access along the waterway (which would be listed on the Canal & River Trust website, and it isn’t) or else would involve the closure of the nearby road bridge (which would prevent road access to the Northern end of Rewley Road, which seems unlikely given the number of people who live down there!).

I’ll try to visit the site within the next week to confirm my suspicions, but for the time being I’d suggest NOT archiving this cache.

(I’ve sent a message to SummerSquad to clarify the situation)

Spotted another ‘cacher today. Hunting for geocachers is turning out to be almost as much fun as hunting for geocaches! Photo attached (photo is in GZ, so there might be minor spoilers depending on whether you think the photographed ‘cacher is looking in the right place, or not!)

Found this one when it was in its old location, but revisited today while introducing a group of folks from the University to the sport. Like the new container, but the old hiding place was better IMHO! No sign of either TB.

Rediscovered this cache while leading a party on their first geocaching expedition. The new container and hiding place are a huge improvement, but the description and hint are now inaccurate! For the benefit of anybody as lost as we were: you’re not looking for a magnetic nano, and if you go for the hint: it’s not going to be at the height that you might expect! Hopefully CO will update the page for this otherwise excellent cache!

Performed maintenance on behalf of CO. Cache is now back in place after a recent muggling. And until the fresh summer growth come through, it should be slightly easier to find than previously owing to reduced vegetation in the area! Ready to go live again!

Cache is missing! I helped the CO hide this cache, and, following the recent spate of DNFs, decided to come check on it… It’s definitely been muggled and needs replacement!

A wonderful tour of Holland Park finishing with a fabulous cache (and a well-earned Favourite Point). So nice to see a well-designed cache in a beautiful urban park. I’m only in London for a few days, staying in Shepherd’s Bush for a work-related training course, but I’ve been trying to get out on my lunch break to make the most of the spring weather. This is likely to be my penultimate cache of the trip, but the one I’ve enjoyed the most. Thanks!

GPSr was about 10m off, which it turns out was all it took to start my search in entirely the wrong place. After a fruitless search, I finally thought to try the other obvious place, and lo and behold that’s where it was! Felt very exposed, surrounded my muggle tourists as I returned it! TFTC.
