This is actually getting quite painful. I’ve now been at work for 13 hours straight, and for a total of 40 hours so far this week. Still; next week should be marginally better.
The knackeredness I can deal with. What’s nasty is that I’m not seeing as much of Claire as I’d like.
Mmm… There’s some Doom 3 screenshots online…
Everyone love Magical Trevor;
‘Cos the tricks that he does are ever so clever.
This is hilariously good, and it’s kicking up a bit of a fuss. So, in case it gets taken down, I’ll be hosting a copy of it here, too… Click here to watch "My Land", starring Bush & Kerry. I can’t help but sing along…
Warning: the picture you are about to see is seriously cute. You have been warned. Brace yourself:
The BBC have an article: “UKIP MEP in row over working women”. It’s worth reading, if only to laugh.
Expect to see this particular MEP assassinated by a militarist feminist group within the week.
The Register have a report on a survey of the musical tastes of IT specialists, by profession. If you’re a geek, date a geek, live with geeks, or whatever, it’s worth a look.
Gotta love HSBC. No, this isn’t a real ad.
Arg!
The server on which Scatmania is hosted malfunctioned, resulting in the deletion of the entirety of my weblog. I’ll be trying to recover bits of it in the near future, but I’ll probably lose (at least) the last few weeks.
Not happy.
On the upside, I may use this as an excuse to re-write the engine behind my blog, as I’ve been meaning to for some time. Yay.
Watch this space.
[this post has been partially damaged during a server failure on Sunday 11th July 2004, and it has been possible to recover only a part of it]
Went to the castle to see The Hot Puppies yesterday evening. Everything I’d heard was true – they really are very good. They play well, they sing well, they look good… and they exude confidence. A wonderful show.
Troma Night was somewhat shorter than usual, owing to the aforementioned puppi…
“Umm, Dan? I’ve connected my laptop to the network but I can’t get on the internet.”
“That’s a phone socket you’ve plugged it in to.”
“Does that matter?”…
The Register have this story and photo, taken in Aberystwyth: can anybody identify the woman in the picture?
Results day today, and so I finally get to find out whether or not I get a degree in exchange for my last five years at University. And I do. I’m now entitled to put letters after my name, which is nice.
I’ve got a lower second, which is (I know) less than I’m capable of, but considering my resits and other lark last year, it’s exactly what I expected, so that’s great. Was damn pleased to see that my dissertation got a first.
Now I suppose I’d better get on with the rest of my life.
This’ll be a giggle. I’ve got a little project on the go that should amuse you all for a good few minutes (we’ve all been laughing our socks off here at it this evening). Given my way, I’ll be deploying it tomorrow afternoon.
