In Bulgaria

Having a great time. Only seconds left on this internet cafe connection, though.

Off To Bulgaria

Back in Aber a week on Sunday.

Apologies to everybody/thing (including this blog) that I’ve neglected this last fortnight. Will catch up with my inbox and voicemail when I’m back in the UK.

Right, time to go offline before I get branded a terrorist for using a phone on a ‘plane or something.

A Very Very Short Post

I’m in a fort in Pembrokeshire. There is not much signal. But I’m having fun. And I’m 27.

Bad Advertising

Well, I’ve seen it all now. I’ve just been in a gents toilets in a shopping centre in Nottingham in which there was a poster advertising cheaper car insurance… for women.

Still Having Strange Dreams

Last night’s dream:

I visited the house of Simon [my boss] to collect £49.97 which, in my dream, he owed me. He and his wife, Jill, were there. Simon gave me a £50 note,  but I didn’t have three pence in change, so I have him a five pence piece and he gave me two pennies.

Perhaps there’s something wrong with me.

New PWL Music Video

In case you hadn’t seen it already, I just wanted to bring your attention to the stunning new music video – Tree Of Knowledge – from Pagan Wanderer Lu. Christians like you are why God invented lions.

Normal service will be resumed just as soon as I can get five minutes in which to get stuff done.

8 Days To QParty

It’s 8 days until QParty.

I still have to write a speech. And some other things.

I haven’t heard back from the venue to confirm that they’ve remembered our booking.

I don’t have a clue what’s going on. Neither, judging by some of the responses I’m getting to e-mails, do many of the guests.

Panic hasn’t yet begun to set in, but I’m sure it will.

If you see me, give me a hug.

Jiggerty Jig

Claire and I are back in Aberystwyth. We’re exhausted and hungry, so don’t expect this to be a long post.

In fact, that’s almost it.

Will write more when I’m somewhat more recovered.

Am I Potter Or Not?

Looking forward to the new Harry Potter book? Me neither. But if you are, here’s a quick distraction for you: Potter Or Not!

Claire’s Birthday

It’s Claire‘s birthday on Saturday, and she’s made a plan! Just thought I’d share that news here in case anybody’s given up on reading Claire’s blog (it doesn’t get many updates, to be fair) and wouldn’t otherwise hear about our plan to shop, drink, and watch comedy in Manchester. She’s got the details.

Back At Work

I’m back at work today, after the ‘flu-like illness I had earlier this week. Noticing how much I was still coughing, a co-worker plonked a whisky-heavy hot toddy down on the desk in front of me.

I’m not coughing so much, but my productivity is shot.

Who Brought The Weather?

A fortnight of glorious weather, and the very moment that the students return and term starts again, it begins to rain. Did somebody forget to leave the rainclouds at home with mum and dad?
