Just another Wetherspoons. Clean and convenient and with cheap drinks, but with food priced at the Wetherspoons price points usually reserved for larger cities: bit of a rip-off in Aberystwyth!

Basic, functional launderette. The machines are usually in working order and it’s rarely busy, but it’s inadvisable to leave your washing unattended, even just to go to the shop across the street!

Attractive square garden nestled in central Oxford. Aside from the ocassional geocache, nothing special to write home about, but still a nice place for a lunch break.

Beautiful, iconically-Oxford, arch-shaped building, but be aware that access for the disabled is pretty-much nonexistent. Upper floors are too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter.

This building is mostly not-accessible to the public, but those who attend interviews at the Bodleian Libraries will almost certainly visit as their HR department is found here.

Perfectly reasonable branch of a pleasant building society. Went the extra mile when we took out our first mortgage by sending a box of essentials – toilet paper, mugs, tea, UHT milk etc. – to our new house so that we could settle in before we started to unpack: nice touch.

Good-value pizza by the slice, pasties, sausage rolls etc. Note that there are two service hatches – one on Queen Street and one in the shopping centre – and sometimes there’ll be a queue at one while staff wait patiently at the other for you to see sense and take the shortcut!
