Bit of a leap to get up to this hiding place, but that worked out pretty well because I was off the road when a car came. TFTC.

A second one in a row that took me longer than it should have; this time because my GPSr kept insisting that I was on the wrong side of the road.

Seriously overgrown here: this was the cache in this series that took me the longest to find: lots if rummaging, and more than a couple of nettle stings. Got there in the end!

Trekking across the southern leg of this loop, in enjoying the quiet emptiness of the place. Fields for miles all around, and I haven’t seen another human in ages.

Time to change direction. Still going to be right under the sun’s gaze, and I’m starting to sweat. Time to slow down, perhaps.

Laptop has given up the ghost, so this and my remaining logs are to be typed on my phone, and may be somewhat more-brief as a result. :-(
Getting really warm up here now, and shade is hard to come by. Getting through my water faster than I’d planned.

As I climbed up the hill to this cache, I overtook a man driving a tractor and trimming the hedges. I worked quickly to find the cache, sign the log, and return it (making sure it was definitely in a place that would not be disturbed by him, when he made it this far). Phew!

GPSr was off again, and the hint just made me more-confused.I moved things around for some time without success. The horse in the adjoining field (Ruby?) came over to investigate, and at that moment, my GPSr started behaving and pointed right at where I should have been looking the whole time. Also a convenient place to sit for a sip of water: it’s starting to get warm…

Discovered without difficulty after a short search. Still in shade, but I’m aware that the sun’s moving and soon I’m going to be caught out in the open: hope my sunscreen holds up!
