Nice location. Great view of the bay. That’s me done with Baggy Point for the day, but TFTCs. Didn’t see ANY of the travel bugs allegedly in this series, during my expedition: wonder where they’ve gotten to…

Found with a little help from an older couple, out for a walk, who’d earlier asked if I was lost and subsequently took an interest in geocaching. Not sure if they’ll log on and register this as their find too, or not.

Found it, after a little zig-zagging. As I set my GPSr to the next cache, an older couple who’d seen my tech and watched me weaving about asked if I was lost. I explained geocaching, and they were pretty interested, so I took then with me to the next cache as I explained the rules.

Found yesterday with my partner fleeblewidget while on the way out for some dinner here. The hint gave away exactly what we were looking for, but a hint from a staff member stood on the other side of the road made it easier still! TFTC. (had a good dinner here, too!)

After taking in the beautiful views at Baggy Point, headed back this way and found the cache. Coordinates seemed about 15m off, but the hint made it easy enough. Cache not watertight, log very damp; needs attention at earliest convenience. TFTC.

Have been stood at/pacing around the published coordinates for a while with my GPSr (Garmin Montana 600, firmware checked last week, Chirp Searching set to “On”, but I’ve also tried toggling it), and I’m not finding a Chirp. Think this expedition might be a no-go. I’m going to be in the area for the next few minutes, so if the owner happens to be by their email within the next few minutes they’re welcome to send be a message via geocaching.com to let me know where the Chirp itself is hidden (if it’s not in the cache) and I can go check on it.

And that’s it! That’s me done for the day. What a delightful and carefully places series of caches. I really hope I get time to do the Southern Loop someday, too! But for now, it’s time to get back to the car (where I’ve stashed some now much-needed water) and then back to Croyde for a drink in the hot tub.

Thanks for a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon!

Dan, exhausted, at the end of a trail.
