As a quick diversion from my Northern Loop, I stepped down here to grab the link cache. Cute hiding spot, but I got mobbed by midges!

Seriously overgrown here: this was the cache in this series that took me the longest to find: lots if rummaging, and more than a couple of nettle stings. Got there in the end!

Trekking across the southern leg of this loop, in enjoying the quiet emptiness of the place. Fields for miles all around, and I haven’t seen another human in ages.

As I climbed up the hill to this cache, I overtook a man driving a tractor and trimming the hedges. I worked quickly to find the cache, sign the log, and return it (making sure it was definitely in a place that would not be disturbed by him, when he made it this far). Phew!
