Salutations d’Angleterre.

On a skiing holiday I took a day to go geocaching. Even with the hint, unable to find this cache: suspect it must be buried under ice and snow? If that’s possible, perhaps worth adding to the cache description or else removing the “winter” attribute? (Or maybe I just gave up too easily!)

That’s a shame, @brianbrianharvey. Who kicked you out, exactly? It should be possible to reach the cache without treading anywhere that you’re not “allowed” to (i.e. you’d expect to spend some time on a public road, above a public waterway, etc….)

Found easily this morning while on the way to a museums conference at the Imperial War Museum (because no trip to London is complete without a geocache being found!). Wasn’t exactly where the hint seems to indicate that it should be (was about 90cm away, though!), so moved to where the hint says.

Log very full; hard to find space to SL, but overall cache condition good. TFTC.

Found during a trip to the cinema with my family, whom I’m up visiting in Preston from Oxford. Very quick find thanks to a solid description: cache still intact despite ongoing work on the paths here; however, currently NOT wheelchair accessible until the new paths are laid. SL, TFTC.

Fun puzzle and a good hiding place (although I did get slightly nettled fingers!). Beaten to the FTF by literally minutes by Rabbithen, whom I saw driving away as I arrived at the GZ: were it not for the lost deliveryperson I got stuck behind while driving out of my estate I’d have totally won this race!

Now I need to go home and listen to a piece of music that, for some reason, I can’t get out of my head! ;-)

Our second holiday in Newport and a chance to hunt for a handful of the caches we’d missed last time around. A short walk by my partner fleeblewidget and I yesterday evening brought us to an easy find here on a road we’ve walked several times before. TFTC.

A gentle walk yesterday evening brought us here (although we briefly overshot, engaged as we were deep in conversation and having forgotten to enable the proximity beeper on my GPSr). Spent a little time hunting in a convincing-looking place that turned out to be wrong before the hint gave us a clue and – after the peeling back of some branches to be able to see the thing that the hint referred to – sent us in the right direction. Lovely night for it, and we managed to get back to our accommodation in good time to avoid the start of the rain.

An easy find while taking my nephew out for a morning walk in his pushchair. Poor little fella fell asleep before we got to the GZ, though, knocked out perhaps by this morning’s early heat! Nice and quiet this early on a Sunday: not a muggle in sight.

Me and mine are staying just down the road for a holiday – not part of last night’s noisy wedding party, though!

A quick and easy find on a walk to the shops while visiting my partner’s husband’s grandmother (who lives just around the corner)! Lovely day for it!

Suspect that the vague coordinates plus the description would probably be enough for a non-premium member to find this, by the way! Just so you know!

Dan with a geocache.

Found without difficulty before a cross-bay walk. Had to hang around for a few minutes to find a muggle-free opportunity to enter the GZ, but sitting on the grass had made it easy to work out where the container was in the meantime. TFTC!

I remember when this was all… well, not this! Strange to come back to a town I lived in on the 80s and see how much has changed
Found without difficulty. Totally room for a bigger container here: perhaps worth an upgrade! TFTC.
