Curious. I haven’t really heard from her since July 2004 but it turns out that she’s still alive and on the internet – I just received the following e-mail from my girlfriend of 1999-2001ish, Reb:

Well, that’s interesting.
I wonder what made her e-mail me out of the blue after over a year of silence.
I wonder what made her choose to use the e-mail address she chose to mail me on. Either it’s a guess, or she read it from one of the few (I can count them on one hand) places it’s publicised, because it looks as if it wasn’t picked from a Hotmail address book. Hmm: looks like somebody using Internet Explorer from a British IP address looked at my recent Friends Reunited profile, which has that e-mail address, only an hour or so ago. That’s a maybe.
I wonder what she’s expecting by way of a response.
I wonder if I’ll respond.
Ah well. For now, time to get on with some work. It’s been an afternoon of deliberately breaking the company network in order to test it’s recoverability – a bit of disaster planning – which, while fun, isn’t terribly productive.

That girl seems to have a selective memory. I mean, why would anyone send a perky little email to someone they’ve pissed off on numerous occasions, as if they were expecting an equally perky response?
Because some people don’t hold grudges, ok well i guess i suppose i should start! Specially since all of a sudden my personal e-mails seem to have become public domain!
Well; not really “all of a sudden.” After all, I’ve been publishing pretty much anything you sent to me by e-mail or text ever since we split up…
Like this, and this, and this too. It shouldn’t really be a surprise by now.
OH, and as a side note, i just clicked on the link above and do you really think i would have posted that to your site? not to mention not only NOT calling myself Reb but misspelling my own name as rebbecca? As for posting to Faye’s journal, i didn’t even know her site until today and wouldn’t have posted anything there even if i had, don’t like the girl remember!!!! Oh and just to make clear and to save all this ridiculous conjecture, I only came here today because I looked up my own name on google to find a photo I was looking for!!!!! Not looking for you Dan, you egotistical Little shit! AND YES I USED LOTS OF EXCLAMATION MARKS!!!

I’ve never seen those postings before following your links just now! And i only sent that “perky little email” because i came across your site whilst looking for something else on the internet! It seems your name comes up everywhere, more’s the pity! I wish i’d just ignored it now, and as for Rory I got his site from your’s, and i had counted him as a friend so mailed him, guess i was wrong about a lot of things eh!

Then there’s somebody out there who writes a lot like you and dislikes Faye. I read the comments [they] posted to her blog, and I was convinced, so they did a reasonably good job.
Plus, the person who posted there obviously didn’t like her, so “I don’t like her” isn’t really a good defence.
