Out for another morning adventure, this time with the plan to finish the Alice In Wyederland series (I found 1 through 5 earlier in the week) and collect the bonus, I set off from Underhill at about 07:15. A nice walk to this first cache and I was underway!

The last of my finds for today, during my walk from Tintern to Underhill. The rain stopped in the end and so I didn’t have to get soaked while standing out on the bridge (although I did get odd looks from passing cars: I tried to look like I was admiring the view!). Nice little cache. TFTC.

Logs looking scrappy and close to end-of-life: not going to flag for maintenance because it’s still a perfectly servicable cache, but the next time you’re in the area it’d probably appreciate a new roll of paper.

Really impressed by many of the caches I’ve seen in this area, this week. Thanks so much!

The weather came down and, perhaps in response to it or perhaps just because of the tree cover, my GPSr started playing up. Still: a little pacing up and down to get a fix again made all the difference, and I was soon able to find this cache. TFTC!

Like many others, I found myself very-definitely on the wrong path. But I’m a brave (or perhaps stubborn) ‘cacher, so I hacked my way through some brambles and hopped a fence in order to reach the right location: by the time I got to the fence it was pretty clear to me where I was heading! Thanks for another nice cache (and I must say, what a lovely park!).

Never seen a cache container like this one before! Brilliant!

Some colleagues and I from a voluntary organisation I’m part of have been spending the week up in Underhill on the other side of Brockweir, and I’ve been trying to get out and find a few of the local geocaches in-between bursts of volunteering activity. This lunchtime we ate in the Anchor Inn, and rather than ride back up by car to Underhill I opted to walk back and do a little ‘caching on the way. A brisk walk up this hill was my first leg, and it was well worth-it: a great cache in a beautiful location. TNLN, TFTC.

Last find of my morning’s expedition was this one, a GZ well within sight of the windows of the house I’m staying in this week! Thanks for the first half of this series: I look forward to trying to find the other half later in the week.

This penultimate find of this morning’s expedition was wonderfully-placed: just a little off the path but in plain sight (if you know where you’re looking). And what wonderful theming, to boot! Took the “Cities bug # 1 Brussels” TB, because it looks like it hasn’t moved in a while. FP awarded.

Now this is what I like to see: a fun (and thematic) little multicache! The sun’s well over the horizon and my co-volunteers will be getting up soon, so I quicken my pace in my plan to get #1 through #5 on this particular short outing. FP awarded.

I’m spending some time in Underhill (near Brockweir) as part of an “away week”for volunteers at a non-profit organisation that I run, but thought that this looked like too good a series of caches to pass up on. Came out first things this morning, before anybody else got up, for a brisk but muddy walk up the river to the first cache. Nice easy find; TNLN.
