The last of my finds for today, during my walk from Tintern to Underhill. The rain stopped in the end and so I didn’t have to get soaked while standing out on the bridge (although I did get odd looks from passing cars: I tried to look like I was admiring the view!). Nice little cache. TFTC.

Logs looking scrappy and close to end-of-life: not going to flag for maintenance because it’s still a perfectly servicable cache, but the next time you’re in the area it’d probably appreciate a new roll of paper.

Really impressed by many of the caches I’ve seen in this area, this week. Thanks so much!

The weather came down and, perhaps in response to it or perhaps just because of the tree cover, my GPSr started playing up. Still: a little pacing up and down to get a fix again made all the difference, and I was soon able to find this cache. TFTC!

Like many others, I found myself very-definitely on the wrong path. But I’m a brave (or perhaps stubborn) ‘cacher, so I hacked my way through some brambles and hopped a fence in order to reach the right location: by the time I got to the fence it was pretty clear to me where I was heading! Thanks for another nice cache (and I must say, what a lovely park!).

Never seen a cache container like this one before! Brilliant!

Some colleagues and I from a voluntary organisation I’m part of have been spending the week up in Underhill on the other side of Brockweir, and I’ve been trying to get out and find a few of the local geocaches in-between bursts of volunteering activity. This lunchtime we ate in the Anchor Inn, and rather than ride back up by car to Underhill I opted to walk back and do a little ‘caching on the way. A brisk walk up this hill was my first leg, and it was well worth-it: a great cache in a beautiful location. TNLN, TFTC.
