A Postcard from Tony (who the heck is Tonyโ€ฝ)

I received another Postcard From The Internet; this one's written on a very unusual medium, and that's not the only thing that's odd about it... another thing is that I can't work out who its from, beyond the first-name-only with which they've signed the card. Who are you, Tony?

Did not find GCBX0R7 War Memorial #???? ~ Standlake

Probably I've done something stupid, but I rushed down here between-meetings in hope of an FTF, collected all the numbers, did the maths, and got... the same coordinates โ€ฆ

    Boring Polyamory: Equality and Bedrooms

The other month, I described my polyamory as 'boring', which attracted lots of interesting questions and feedback. Let's address the first one - why does my partner not have a bedroom of 'her own', even though both of her partners get one?

    'Simplified'

Well 'thanks' for the 'simplified' statement, I guess?

AI Software Development โ€“ What Does The Data Say?

Jason Gorman's summarised the state of the art in research into the efficacy of LLM-assisted software engineering, and I was reassured to see that it closely mirrors my own personal experience of these technologies, with which I've now experimented for several years.

    Three(ish) Weeks In Spain

With exceptions for those of us who had work to do at the start or end, my family and I just spent three weeks hopping around the East of Spain, featuring surfing, a theme park, exploring, dodging the heat, and - of course - a total solar eclipse.

  • I guess it's the laptop and the pile of towels that cause the confusion, but people keep asking me questions (usually in Spanish) about where to get towels from and whether they can use the pool at this hotel.
