TIL that in India long numbers are separated by a comma after the first three and every TWO digits thereafter: so "10 million" would be written as 1,00,00,000 ("1 karoṛ").

TIL that Liechtenstein was the last European country to give women the vote. This followed a referendum in 1984 (in which only men were allowed to vote): 51.3% voted in favour of the change.
