If you look at the depictions of the future earth that awaits JWs when they are reborn, often printed on the covers of their watchtower and the other one, the tables laden with food have no meat on them. This was pointed out to me by a disfellowshipped JW. Apparently this will be because they will be living in the renewed perfect world god intended humanity to have from the start. So being vegetarian, or to follow the plants edict, vegan really should be a tenet of their beliefs.
