Hi,

Ive been thinking about this a lot, as I am 24, in my last year of a psychology degree, and very keen to pursue a degree in counseling… but the issues you’ve raised are ones that are making me doubt my decision to go after this career at this particular point in my life, because I think I might be too young. That is, are people going to want to see a 26/7 year old, who in there eyes doesn’t have enough life experience? I like to think that my career would evolve as I evolve as a person… perhaps Id work with young people first, and as I get older, work with older people too… but perhaps my best bet is to do something else for a while, and come back to counseling later in life. Any advice?
