When I moved my entire blog from http://www.scatmania.org to blog.scatmania.org the only problem users may have experienced will have been with the “front page” – all other links, cross-linked images, RSS feeds, etc. still worked at their old URLs (try it – swap blog. for www. in any of my URLs and the site will “figure out” what you meant.

You’re only renaming one page. You should have no difficulty.
